Would I Benefit From Chao Pinhole Surgery? (Quiz)
If you’ve got receding gums, the usual treatment is a gum graft. However, a newer and less invasive option is a technique called Chao Pinhole® surgery. A Chao procedure is quicker and easier than a gum graft, and you’ll have a faster recovery too. Unlike a graft, the minimally invasive pinhole surgery doesn’t involve any cutting or stitching. For a pinhole procedure, we simply make tiny holes in your gums and manipulate the tissue into place using special instruments.
At Deep South Family Dentistry, our dentists can perform either procedure. They’ll meet with you and determine which treatment will work better for your gum recession. In the meantime, you can take our quiz to see if you’re a good candidate for the Chao pinhole surgery.
